It is the author's first work on fiction- it is a story centered on two individuals. Jonah lives a straight lifestyle despite knowing that his HIV status was positive, which he wasn't. The whole thing was planned to stop him from achieving the dream he had of living abroad... His aunt was the architect of his delusion through the help of her doctor friend... Jonah marries a HIV carrier, and also adopts a son... Jonah, later, finds out the truth, which was already too late....  Initially, Mary was Jonah's girlfriend, but she left him because of the HIV complications... Joy, Emma's sister, and also Mary's best friend, was the one who ended up with Jonah as a wife... Joy was HIV positive... Jonah's brother in-law, Emma, another central character, suffers in his own predicament by trying to live on his life as a gay in a country like Nigeria... he recalls how it started, he objected against all the help coming his way...Mary was in love with Emma, she felt that he could change him to being normal. But Emma considered homosexuality a priority, which broke the lady's heart.  Emma's ex-gay friend ends up with the girl (Mary), who wanted a changed life for Emma...
